It’s the second and final day of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days sale, and we’re still seeing a number of noteworthy discounts on Android smartphones. If you’re looking for a new phone on a budget, Google may have the most enticing offer of the bunch, as the company has dropped its Pixel 7a phone down to $399. This represents a new all-time low price for an unlocked model and a $100 drop from Google’s list price. For reference, the device went for $450 during Amazon’s last Prime Day sale in July. The deal comes as part of a wider range of Prime Day discounts on Google devices.
The Google Pixel 7a is going for $399 with Amazon’s October Prime Day sale, which is the lowest price we’ve seen for an unlocked model.
We named the Pixel 7a “the best midrange Android phone” in our buying guide, and we gave it a score of 90 in our review this past May. Although it was recently upstaged by the newly launched Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro at last week’s Made by Google event, it still offers features like wireless charging and an impressive 64 MP camera, making it a worthwhile purchase at its current price point.
The 6.1-inch handset boasts a 90Hz OLED screen, as well as a Tensor G2 chip and 8GB of RAM that help it operate smooth and fast. This discounted model includes 128GB of storage. Our review suggests that the Pixel 7a outperformed competitors in its midrange category, including the third-generation Apple iPhone SE and the Samsung Galaxy A54. Unless you’re determined to splurge on a higher-end model, this Prime Day offer could be a great fit for you.
