Welcome to the weekend, my friends! It’s rainy and wet over here in Ohio today, but tomorrow’s forecast looks glorious. I’m looking forward to spending tomorrow afternoon napping on the back porch and enjoying the time with my family.

My FAVORITE THING this week is this baseball cap. This is the most comfortable cap I have ever worn and I’ve found myself wearing it almost every day lately while on my walks. I love the slightly longer brim for extra shade too. (I just bought a second one, I like it so much!)
What I’m LISTENING to: The Comet Tides by Kevin Kerrigan. This is some of the most peaceful music I’ve found for times when I only want instrumental music. I really enjoy playing the classical music streaming channels when I’m working and I found this artist there.
However, as much as I love classical music, it’s been great to hear some fresh new music in the same relaxing moods. Kerrigan is a British music artist and composer, and he’s also a creator of instrumental music for film, TV and endless other projects. This album is already a new favorite for me.
What I’m READING: The Psychology of Money: Timeless lessons on wealth, greed, and happiness by Morgan Housel. Oh, this one was a great read. This isn’t an in-depth financial how-to type of book. Housel dives into the complex and many times illogical relationship people have with money.
He discusses the psychological aspects that shape our financial decisions and behavior, emphasizing the importance of understanding why we make the choices we make when dealing with investing, savings, and making plans (or the lack thereof) for our future.
The advice given in the book is a whole lot of common sense with a heavy focus on saving as much as possible, long-term patient investing, and living well beneath your means. I recommend it as a fairly light financial read.
